Ten restricted operations in controlling stage lighting equipment

Lighting control has its own operating specifications and skills. It can't be arbitrarily operated ,otherwise it will cause damage to the bulbs, lamps and consoles, and even cause fires and serious losses.

Today, let's share ten restricted operations in controlling stage lighting equipment.


1. Do not light up the bulb full brightness when it's cool, suddenly light (full) light. It may cause the bulb broken or burnt.

2. Do not open the silicon box power supply if the dimming station fader if full . It will cause same damage as above.

3. Do not reverse the order of the lamp console and the silicon box power supply when switching the equipment.

4. Do not shake the light when the bulb is turned on. It will cause the bulb tungsten filaments broken or fell off.

5. Do not touch the bulb directly when replacing which may remain dirt or break the bulb.

6. Do not focus the beam too much which is not good to the colored paper,including color fading, losing color or even worse, burn a hole . And it may ignite the item if too close.

7. Do not forget to install the protective net cover while installing the color changer. It is to prevent splashing and hurting the objects when the light bulb explodes.

8. Do not allow the lights be too close to the flammable curtain. It is very important to maintain a certain distance between the light and the curtain.

9. Do not install the light exceeding the power specified by the manufacturer. The specification describes the power carried by each circuit on the light silicon box. In general, each circuit carries 1KW, 2KW, 3KW, and 6KW.

10. Avoid unbalanced three phases when connecting loads.
